My name is Dino and in January of 2025, I started a job at a video game company in Santa Monica. What a dream, right!? Well it would have been, except about a week into my brand new dream job, a giant meteor struck the Earth and set the entire world on fire. Kidding about the meteor, but the world really was set on fire, and along with it my commute was too. PCH has been closed ever since, and to preserve my sanity I started the wonderful routine of leaving my home at 5 in the goddamn morning, before the traffic turns my morning trip into a 3-hour hell-hole.

So here I am, 6am in Santa Monica, boxing one morning, HIIT workout the next; hot yoga and stretching to ease my aching joints, then pilates on mornings when I truly wanted to suffer. This unique circumstance, paired with a moderate amount of ADHD is what inspired me to start a blog to share some of my thoughts and experiences. Looking for a place to workout on the westside but not sure what places might be right for you? Curious if that place you drove by on the way home is worth trying or just a smelly money-suck?
